Yearly CD Reviews

A friend of mine emailed me this review he did, his "top" cd's of 2009. It was a list of like 104 cd's he listened to and 'ranked' them from his best to his worst. There was quite a few cd's on there that I had never heard, a few I didn't even know were released. It was in the end just really cool for me to check out someone elses opinions/rankings of a bunch of metal cd's.

So I decided to embark on the same task in 2010. While i'm going through the 2010 cd's as I get them, I'm spending time going over stuff that was released in 2009 and doing reviews of those as well. Once I finish 2009, i'll start on 2008 and head backwards. Eventually giving every year since I really started listening to metal a good thourough review.

I'm going to go into a bit more detail than he did... his list was just the artist/album/artwork/ranking. What i'm going to do is go through each cd, rate each song from 1-10, and avg those ratings for the cd's overall 'score'. Plus include a little small paragraph of my thoughts, pretty or not, on the disc. I don't know how many people will read it, and I don't really care. But I figure if I can get even a few people, who are already exposed to music that I love, to discover a few new cd's that might be their cup of tea, then i'm helping out the metal artists of the world a little.

So keep your eyes posted here, I will update the homepage of my site when the reviews are completed for any given year.
